Our first visit to Littlecote House having been to several other Warner sites.
The venue is delightful, on arrival check in at the gate was quick & efficient with parking being no problem at all.
Our signature room was a good size, comfortable, well equipped & kept clean & replenished by the service maid.
The grounds are a delight, with the historic buildings and its history excellent. A guided tour is a must (it's free)
Staff throughout the 3 night stay were generally helpful & pleasant.
Our restaurant table for 2 was allocated on arrival & we found its location fine. The food we found to be consistent with other Warner venues and had no issues with it at all. We ate at 6.30pm and all the offerings were available and served
to a satisfactory standard. The restaurant staff we came into contact with were efficient at there job.
The bar area did lack any atmosphere and not furnished as well (sofas) as other Warner venues.
The late lounge was distinctly cramped and was on the small size considering the size of the hotel. We had pre booked seating in an 'area' for 2 but on arrival this not to our liking, very cramped in the middle of a group 6 chairs. However this was resolved, somewhat reluctantly by the staff member and we re located to a much roomier location.
The entertainment on all 3 nights was good,
We partook in shooting & archery which were very enjoyable, thank you Sam.
My wife used the pool every day which she said was delightful and also joined the Aqua session.
In summary a good long weekend at a good price.
The best I have been to yet in my tour of warner hotels. The greeting on reception was welcoming and helpful. The coffee lounge lead out to a patio overlooking the bowls area. Nice seating area for a welcoming coffee. The gardens were immaculate. Shame the greenhouse and walled garden were not put to good use. I took the tour of the house which was interesting. Do not miss walking to the mosaic or walking in the copse. My favourite spot was the beach. What a sun spot. Room very comfortable and clean on the ground floor. Restaurant serving good food and presented very well. A good waiter who was efficient. Entertainment not bad if a little loud so you could not hear their voices properly. Pool very clean and warm. Overall a peaceful and beautiful location. I shall certainly come again if i want to get away from it all.
