Enjoyed a lovely Bank Holiday weekend in a party of 13 celebrating a friend's 70th birthday. Couldn't fault a thing. Great room, food, entertainment and stunning old house and grounds. Jaci Graham on the Saturday night was absolutely brilliant. Our 2nd Warner's break but hopefully not our last.
Just spent the August bank holiday weekend at this Warner Hotel. I have to say that they got everything absolutely right for this weekend. Right from the start the staff were excellent.
The accommodation in their signature rooms was first class with a generous sized room, spotlessly clean, and brilliant daily room servicing. Be aware the rooms do not have air conditioning which might have been an issue in this years heat but for most weeks of the year there would be no problem. The food considering the numbers they cater for was excellent. It isn't Michelin star cooking but the dishes served at the table were excellent and if you prefer quantity then the buffet selection was just as good. I ordered poached eggs on two mornings and they were served up perfectly which is rarity these days.
The entertainment was good with a variety of acts catering for all tastes. The Warner's book my table scheme is an excellent idea which gives you a seat in the theatre every night avoiding the mad rush you see on cruise ships. You just turn up when you want and the seat is there. If you don't fancy the entertainment then there are plenty of quite corners you can relax in. The grounds are extensive and the old house is available to explore or relax in the library with a light lunch or drink. Don't miss the Roman villa and mosaic which has unearthed in the grounds. I haven't had time to mention the pool, snooker, tennis, bowls and lots more. There really is something for every one.
