.We took my wife's mother for a weekend break and we had a most relaxing time. Both rooms we had were excellent, the grounds provided interesting walks, the food was of a high quality and the entertainment was very enjoyable.
However what impressed us the most was the way everything was organised and the very friendly and helpful staff. Our dining table was pre-booked for every night and the breakfasts and evening meals were served in a very thoughtful and efficient manner. Our waiter never overlooked anything and had an excellent memory. We had arranged to have our final meal in another room and I was sure that someone was going to overlook the fact that we had some wine left over from the previous night, but the bottle was on the table without having to remind anyone. We did not join the tour of the house but the guide John very helpfully gave us an introduction to the walk and outlined the difficulties that my mother in law might have encountered because of her immobility. All in all a very memorable occasion
